Production is the standard.
Not the demo. Not the prototype. Not “it works on my machine.” We build the cloud foundation, the architectures and the operating practice behind systems that have to survive real traffic, real incidents and real auditors.
A 30-minute call with an engineer who scopes engagements, not a salesperson. You leave with a next step, a fixed fee, or an honest no.
01Symptoms
Your product is unique. Your infrastructure problems aren't.
Every engineering organization eventually says the same handful of sentences. Mark the ones your team has said out loud.
Mark the sentences your team has said. We'll flag which properties below to look at first.
Bring them to a callEach one is the same root cause showing up as a business cost: production treated as a phase something reaches, instead of the constraint that shapes it.
02The BuiltForProd Standard
Eight questions a production system can answer.
“Production-ready” means nothing until it is specific. These are the properties we design for, and the question each one has to survive.

03The portfolio
Four ways to get there.
Build the foundation, add the architecture for your workload, decide whether you want to run it alone, and, if you are not sure where you stand, find out first.

Assessment
Assess the present. Architect the future.A fixed-fee assessment of what you run today against the eight properties of the BuiltForProd Standard: findings, prioritized recommendations, a future-state architecture and a phased migration plan, delivered in about two weeks, with up to 50% of the fee credited toward a Baseline.
Every engagement starts with a 30-minute call. You leave with a next step, a fixed fee, or an honest no.

What that looks like in practice.
The Enterprise Baseline is the edition we have deployed most, so it is the one we can describe down to the account. Every edition is engineered to the same Standard.
- Separate accounts for security, audit, identity, network, DNS, artifacts, automation and each workload stage, with production isolated from everything else.
- No standing user credentials and no long-lived keys anywhere: people sign in through single sign-on, pipelines authenticate with OIDC.
- Organization-wide logging, detection and configuration recording into an account nobody can quietly empty.
- Every change arrives as a pull request with a plan attached, and production waits for an approval.
- Drift is detected on a schedule and raised as an issue; nothing is silently reverted.

05BuiltForProd Assessment
Before you commit to the next big change, know what you have.
An independent, evidence-based assessment of your infrastructure against the Standard: what works, what needs attention, what could not be verified, and the architecture and plan to get where you are going.
What we review
Cloud architecture and dependencies, security and access, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, reliability and operational ownership, compliance readiness. Scoped to the decision in front of you.
What you receive
Findings mapped to the eight properties, an executive summary, prioritized recommendations, a future-state architecture and a phased migration plan. About two weeks after kickoff.
The terms
A fixed fee, quoted before it starts and credited up to 50% toward a Baseline within 90 days. Not a certification, not a penetration test, no score. Everything it includes.
About two weeks from kickoff to the delivered plan.
06Engagement
How an engagement runs.
Five steps, from a first call to a foundation your own engineers change, approve, deploy and recover.
-
You book a 30-minute call
A call with an engineer who scopes engagements, not a salesperson. What you run, what is coming, and what is in the way. You leave with a next step: a fixed fee, an Assessment, or an honest no.
-
We measure what you have
The BuiltForProd Assessment when the decision needs evidence: findings against the Standard, priorities, a target architecture and a plan. Up to 50% of the fee is credited toward the Baseline.
-
We customize the foundation
Your namespace, domains, accounts, regions and compliance scope. Every deployment-specific value is marked in the code, not buried in it.
-
We deploy it into your accounts
Our engineers apply it, verify it against a written checklist, and fix what the verification finds.
-
We hand it over, and you own it
A working session, not a presentation: your engineers make a change, approve it, deploy it and recover it before we finish.
If we are not the right fit, we say so on the first call. A prototype with nothing at stake does not need any of this. Where we help, and where we don't.
07Questions
Questions people ask first.
What does BuiltForProd actually deliver?
A production-grade cloud foundation in your own accounts, built from infrastructure as code in your own repositories, plus the documentation and the handover that make your team able to run it. Reference architectures for specific workloads and an ongoing engineering service are available on top of it.
Who owns the infrastructure and the code afterwards?
You do. The cloud accounts are yours and the repositories are yours, licensed to your organization for internal use. After handover BuiltForProd holds no credentials and no standing access, and nothing in the delivered code names us.
Is this a product, a service, or consulting?
It is a product delivered as a service. The foundation and the blueprints are engineered, versioned software; our engineers customize and deploy them for you, then hand them over. You are not buying hours, and you are not renting a black box.
How long does it take?
Deployment is measured in days of engineering rather than the months a platform team would spend building the same thing, and the exact schedule depends on your accounts, compliance scope and how much already exists. We commit to dates in the proposal, not before we understand the estate.
What does it cost?
A fixed fee, quoted to your scope, with no per-seat or per-resource pricing. One thirty-minute call is usually enough for a written quote; you can also buy through a cloud marketplace private offer so the spend counts against an existing commitment.
How do we start?
Book a 30 minutes call with an engineer who scopes engagements, not a salesperson. If you would rather know where you stand first, the ten-question self-check takes two minutes and runs in your browser, and the BuiltForProd Assessment is the paid, evidence-based version of the same question.
08Next step
Find out what production would take.
A 30-minute call with an engineer who scopes engagements, not a salesperson. Tell us what you run and what is coming: a funding round, an audit, a first enterprise customer, a migration. You leave with a next step, a fixed fee, or an honest no.
