Terms of use
These are the terms for this website. The terms of an engagement — scope, fees, service levels, liability and ownership — are in your customer agreement.
Scope and date
By using builtforprod.com you accept these terms. They govern the website: the pages, the diagrams, the contact form and the brand assets. They do not govern a BuiltForProd engagement, a deployment, a support tier or the code we deliver.
If you are a customer, your customer agreement is the contract between us, and it takes precedence over anything written here. If the two ever appear to conflict, the agreement wins and we will fix the page.
What you may do with this site
Permitted
- Read, print and share pages, including inside your organization and in an evaluation or procurement document.
- Quote a page with attribution and a link, including in an article, a report or an answer engine result.
- Link to any page. We do not require permission and we do not ask you to use a particular anchor text.
- Use the technical descriptions to judge whether BuiltForProd fits what you are building. That is what they are for.
Not permitted
- Republishing substantial parts of the site as if they were your own material.
- Using the site to build a competing product description, a scraped directory listing or a derivative price list.
- Attempting to gain access to systems, data or accounts you were not given, or probing the site for weaknesses without a written agreement.
- Automated collection that degrades the site for other readers, or that ignores the published crawler rules.
- Using the brand, wordmark or logo in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership or certification that does not exist.
What this site is
builtforprod.com describes what BuiltForProd builds and how it works. It is informational. Nothing on it is an offer, a quotation, a service level commitment or a contract, and no page creates an obligation on either of us.
Product descriptions reflect what the platform does at the time of writing. Specifications, defaults, versions and available options change as the product improves, and a page that is accurate today may describe an earlier default tomorrow. The documentation and your proposal are the authoritative statements of what you would actually receive.
Prices are not published on this site. Engagements are fixed-fee and quoted per customer, and the only binding number is the one in a written offer.
What you send us
The contact form is a web form on a public website. Treat anything you send through it as unencrypted: never send credentials, access keys, tokens, private key material or decrypted secrets, and do not send information a third party requires you to keep confidential.
By sending a message you allow us to read it, act on it and reply to it, and to keep it for as long as the privacy notice says. Sending a message does not by itself create a confidentiality obligation on us; if you need one before a conversation, ask and we will put one in place.
If you send us an idea, a suggestion or feedback about the product, we may use it without owing you anything for it. We will not publish your message or use your name without asking.
Accuracy, and what we do not promise
We write these pages carefully and correct them when they are wrong, but we do not warrant that every page is complete, current or free of error, and the site is provided as it is. Technical descriptions are simplifications of systems that are documented properly elsewhere.
The site links to third-party sites, including documentation, standards bodies, cloud providers and tool projects. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they say or do.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of this website or from reliance on a page of it. This limitation is about the website. Liability within an engagement is dealt with in the customer agreement, where it belongs.
Intellectual property
The text, diagrams, structure and brand assets on this site belong to us. The BuiltForProd name, the wordmark and the logo are ours and may not be used in a way that implies a relationship that does not exist.
The product source code is a separate matter and is not covered by these terms. It is delivered under the PolyForm Internal Use License 1.0.0, which is explained in plain terms on the license page.
The platform is built on open-source tooling, including OpenTofu, Terragrunt, Kubernetes and ArgoCD, each under its own license. BuiltForProd itself is source-available rather than open source, and we are careful not to blur the two.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes, and the new version applies from the moment it is published. A change that affects what you may do with the site, or what we collect, will be visible on the site rather than made quietly.
Governing law and contact
BuiltForProd is a brand of Nexstella. The governing law and the forum for disputes about this website are stated in the customer agreement for customers; for everyone else, we will name them here once the entity details are published.
